“Ten-A-Month Club”

The Duval/Nassau Alumni Chapter introduces a new approach for alumni to support our beloved Alma mater!  Everyone has the capacity to give something.  Alumni giving should be easy, convenient, and comfortable.  If everyone gives a little, no one has to give a lot!     

This concept essentially “buries” reactive and introduces the birth of “proactive.”  Rather than waiting to be asked to contribute to a specific cause, alumni of Bethune-Cookman University will become proactive and provide a regular and steady income stream to help carry out the mission of Bethune-Cookman.   The minimum contribution will be $10/month and all contributions will be unrestricted, to be used as the university sees fit.  If the 1,000 alumni living and working in North Florida joined, it would generate $120,000/year.  WOW!  Imagine what this could do to benefit our students and the mission of Bethune-Cookman University!    

These contributions will not replace any financial assistance you are currently providing to Bethune-Cookman.   So, if you are already connected, engaged and supporting the mission of the enterprise, please continue to do so.  If you want to add this to what you’re currently doing, we welcome it.   Remember, you set the due date.  You choose the amount of your commitment.    

Here’s how it works.  You can select a birth date, an anniversary date or any other special date to be your due date.  On that date of each month, you should mail your commitment to B-CU thus relieving the enterprise of the postage expense.  The length of the commitment is indefinite.  We feel strongly that once you start, you will feel so good about having made a difference that you will continue it and perhaps even increase the monthly commitment from time to time.   This is an easy way for each of us to “Walk the Talk”.

To get started simply complete the attached form and send it to B-CU along with your first payment made payable to Bethune-Cookman University.  Be sure to write “Ten-A-Month Club” on the memo line of your check.  You will receive a receipt and periodically, the university will provide a summary of the activity so that we can see the results of our participation.
